Kimjongilia

Kimjongilia[American actor]

Kimjongilia

Kimjongilia is one of two national emblem|national flowers of North Korea, named after the leader Kim Jong-il (??). It is a hybrid cultivar of begonia, ''Begonia x tuberhybrida'' 'Kimjongilhwa'.To commemorate Kim Jong Il's 46th birthday in 1988, Japanese botany|botanist Motoderu Kamo cultivated a new perennial begonia named "kimjongilia", representing the Juche revolutionary cause of the ''Dear Leader'', admiration, and loyalty. According to North Korean sources, the flower symbolizes wisdom and good human feelings such as future loving, justice and peace and possesses strong great man bearing. The North Korean government claims that Kimjongilia, now the national flower, has widely spread throughout North Korea from the Korean Central Botanical Garden, and since to over 60 nations, including the United States and Russia.

I'm a digital media student and freelance multimedia artist, and my mom is a retired commercial artist. We both bought the tablet after putting up with the Aiptek version for a year. Cons: The included mouse doesn't have many of the movement control features of a regular mouse. I'd recommend using a normal optical mouse along with the tablet. Besides, you're not buying this for its mouse. Pros: Loads of included software (that you'll actually use), perfect compatibility with Adobe Photoshop's features (a huge discount for Adobe Photoshop CS is included), surface is washable and scratch resistant, no batteries required, awesome sensitivity at any pressure or angle, two pens in one (top of pen works as eraser tool in Photoshop) and above all, it's the industry standard choice. All other reviews will agree. There's no better tablet, and I stand by that. I've used it with everything from Adobe Photoshop CS2 to Adobe Illustrator CS2 to Macromedia Flash MX to Alias Maya. Corkscrew_(tool)

A corkscrew is a tool for drawing stopper (plug)|stopping corks from bottles. Generally, it comprises a pointed metallic helix attached to a handle. The user grips the handle and screws the metal point through the cork (material)|cork, entwining the cork and corkscrew so that moving one moves the other. Corkscrews are necessary because corks themselves, being small and smooth, are difficult to grip and (elegantly) remove. The handle of the corkscrew, often a horizontal bar of wood attached to the screw, allows for a fine, commanding grip making removal of the stopper (plug)|stopper relatively easy. Many corkscrew handles incorporate levers that further increase the amount of force that can be applied outwards upon the cork.

Its design was derived from the gun worm which was a device used by musketmen to remove unspent charges from a musket's barrel in a similar fashion.Corks are largely associated with wine bottles, although they are being replaced with other closures such as screwcaps on a proportion of wines.

Irrational_exuberance_(finance)

:''For other uses of the term Irrational exuberance, see the Irrational exuberance disambiguation article.''"Irrational exuberance" is a phrase used by Federal Reserve Board Chairman Alan Greenspan in a speech given during the stock market dot-com boom|boom of the 1990s. The phrase was interpreted by financial pundits as a typically cryptic warning that the market might be overvalued.Although it is sometimes believed that Greenspan's comment was made near the height of the dot-com boom (and contributed to its downfall), it was actually said much earlier, in a December 1996 dinner lecture to the American Enterprise Institute in Washington, DC|Washington (emphasis added in excerpt)::''(…) Clearly, sustained low inflation implies less uncertainty about the future, and lower risk premiums imply higher prices of stocks and other earning assets. We can see that in the inverse relationship exhibited by price/earnings ratios and the rate of inflation in the past. But how do w! e know when'' ''irrational exuberance'' ''has unduly escalated asset values, which then become subject to unexpected and prolonged contractions as they have in Japan over the past decade? (…)''
:("The Challenge of Central Banking in a Democratic Society", December 5, 1996)The presence of the short comment—never repeated by Greenspan since—within a rather dry and complex speech would not normally have been so memorable; however it was followed by immediate slumps in stock markets worldwide, provoking a strong reaction in financial circles and making its way into common parlance. The losses were quickly recouped and eclipsed by the accelerating stock market boom; Greenspan's comment was well remembered although few heeded the "warning." The phrase was notably used by Yale University|Yale professor Robert Shiller who named his Irrational Exuberance (book)|book after it in 2000. When the market slumped in the same year, in response to increasing interest rates, the phrase got another popularity boost and was much used in hindsight, to characterize the excesses of! the bygone era.It had become a catch phrase of the boom to such an extent that, during the economic recession that followed the stock market collapse of 2000, bumper stickers reading "I want to be irrationally exuberant again" were sighted in Silicon Valley and elsewhere.

Essential_amino_acid

An essential amino acid for an organism is an amino acid that cannot be synthesized by the organism from other available resources, and therefore must be supplied as part of its diet.Eight amino acids are generally regarded as essential for humans: tryptophan, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, valine, leucine, isoleucine. Two others, histidine and arginine are essential only in children. A good mnemonic device for remembering these is "Private Tim Hall", abbreviated as: ''PVT TIM HALL''.Which amino acids are essential, varies from species to species, as different metabolisms are able to synthesize different substances. For instance, taurine (which is not, by strict definition, an amino acid) is essential for cats, but not for dogs. Thus, dog food is not nutritionally sufficient for cats, and taurine is added to commercial cat food, but not to dog food.
The distinction between essential and non-essential amino acids is somewhat unclear, as some amino acids can be produced from others. The sulfur-containing amino acids, methionine and homocysteine, can be converted into each other but neither can be synthesized from scratch in humans. Likewise, cysteine can be made from homocysteine, but not from scratch. So, for convenience, sulfur-containing amino acids are sometimes considered a single pool of nutritionally-equivalent amino acids. Likewise arginine, ornithine, and citrulline, which are interconvertible by the urea cycle, are considered a single pool.

Pickled snakes are commonly found preserved animals in Asia, put inside alcoholic drinks such as rice wine. The snakes, preferably venomous ones, are usually not preserved for their meat. They are preserved to have the snake poison dissolved in the rice wine. However, snake venoms are protein-based, they do not dissolve well in water and alcohol. The drinker takes the rice wine.

I bought Dora's animal adv (using Win2000) for my 2.5 yr old and he loves it.At first it was kinda hard for him.But he mastered it.Now at 3 yrs, he loves to play with it with no help. There are good memory game, fun facts, numbers.Lotsa activites. I rate this one a 5 star for fun, educational and overall.Worth getting. BUT then I bought Dora's Backpack adv (using Win98) and there were so many problems with it.The trio came on very slowly. The game exited itself or froze up while playing.I'm not sure if it's b/c of Win98.The game itself is okay if there are so many bugs in the game.I rated this one a 3 stars for fun but 1 star for too many bugs.

Steel-toe_boots

Steel-toe boots (or sometimes safety boots) are durable boots made of leather or rubber that have a steel reinforcement in the toe to protect the foot against falling objects. They also often have steel inserts in their soles to prevent puncture from below.Steel-toe boots are important in the construction and many industrial settings. Occupational safety and health legislation or insurance requirements may require the use of such boots in some settings, and may mandate certification of such boots and the display of such certification directly on the boots. (For example in Canada, certified boots have a Canadian Standards Association green triangle on them.)Safety footwear now comes in many styles, not just as boots but also as shoes and clogs. Some are quite formal, for supervising engineers who must visit sites where protective footwear is mandatory.
